Papers relating to the case of Captian Stanley Lord (1878 - 1962) of the SS CALIFORNIAN and its involvement in the TITANIC disaster in 1912. Includes a photocopy (13 sheets, loose) of part of a published version of Lord's statement with a foreword by Leslie Harrison and a complete version of the same document in booklet form; a photocopy of typed notes on a piece called "The Titanic Myth" (copy made in 1987); a photocopy of a typed copy of Lord's statement made on 21 May 1912 (copy made in 1972); two booklets (1965 and 1968) of petitions to the Board of Trade; a yellow folder containing typed, photocopied and cuttings related to Lord's alleged involvement in the Titanic disaster (26 sheets).
