Engineering
The earliest of the volumes in this class is a notebook with carefully executed pen and ink diagrams entitled 'The Indicator and Dynamometer with Their Practical Applications'. It was written in 1859 by Captain Brown of the MOHAWK. There are two notebooks kept by stokers on courses at the beginning of the twentieth century; one is by Acting Leading Stoker John H Osborne, 1913, and the other, which is illustrated, is by Henry Arnell, 1908. There is also Arnell's copy of the Stoker's Manual , 1912.
