Dear Madame,
Herewith we have the pleasure of sending you the key of the plate chest which contains the silver tea service presented to Captain Freemen by the Ladies & Gentlemen who were passengers in the Lady Katharine Barham, on her voyage to Jamaica last winter, as a testimony of their esteem and regard for him, in which also the owners of this ship have been happy to concur. We hope you will like the pattern of this service whilst we know you will much more value the present for the proof it will convey to you of the sentiment, which we, no less than his passengers entertain for Captain Freeman. We are, dear Madame, yours truly, Hankey, Plummer and Wilson.
