Antonio Millo isolario. / Antonio Millo ; transcription of the Italian original [by] Agamemnon Tselikas ; [English translation by Eleni Agathou]

Antonio Millo, or da Millo, was a Greek sailor and cartographer, born on Milos in the Cyclades around 1540. He moved to Venice towards the end of the 16th century and drew several maritime charts, portolani, atlases and isolaria. This edition is based on a manuscript from the private collection of Mrs Sylvia Ioannou. It includes a transcription of the original medieval Italian text manuscript of the 1582 isolario with translations in Greek and English, reproductions of all Millo's island maps, and a comprehensive index.
