Written under a pseudonym, this autobiography recounts the author's experiences, first as a Red Cross nurse and later as a member of the Women's Royal Naval Service (WRNS), during the latter half of the Second World War, after joining the war effort aged just 17. The book, written in a narrative style, includes detailed descriptions of the author's service as a night vision tester, training pilots at a number of naval air stations throughout the UK.
