Biography of George Leslie Drewry, a Royal Navy Reservist who was awarded the Victoria Cross for service at Gallipoli in the First World War. The book covers Drewry's early childhood, his apprenticeship in the merchant service and early employment by P&O, and his impressive war record as a midshipman, including at Gallipoli, before his death in an accident at Scapa Flow, aged just 26.
