Princess Charlotte in Malta Harbour by Moonlight - 13th April 1839
A view of ‘Princess Charlotte’ (centre) at Malta Harbour by moonlight among a cluster of anchored vessels, dated 13 April 1839. The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Paul (Mdina Cathedral) is prominently visible among the cityscape in the background on the right, one of its bell towers facing to the right. Therefore, the view depicted is probably from around Saint Paul’s Bay, on Malta’s northern side, facing south. Watercolour.
