An English ship drying sails

A small ship viewed from slightly abaft the starboard beam. Fore course hauled out to a bowline, fore and mizzen topsails atrip, but the main topsail is hoisted half-mast high. The mizzen is half brailed up.

This is an unsigned pencil drawing by the Younger, drawn in soft rapid pencil. It has been very approximately dated by the style.
