Several English ships in stays

Six ships, all under fore course and mizzen and fore and main topsails. Two on the left viewed from the port broadside are in the wind with all their sails shaking. To the right, a stern view of a ship bearing away on the port tack towards three ships, two in the wind and one before the wind.

This is an unsigned pencil and wash drawing by the Younger. It is lightly rubbed on the back and may be an offset worked up by a later hand. It has been approximately dated by the style and watermark.
