Cape Ricardo, Straits of Malacca

Print. Cape Rachado, or Tanjung Tuan, was chosen by the Portuguese as the site for a lighthouse, built in 1528-29. The battle of Cape Rachado was fought between the Portuguese and the Dutch East India Company (VOC) fleets in 1606.
