Orari (1875)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged emigrant vessel Orari (1875) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and single royals. She has painted ports. A stackie spritsail rigged barge is beyond her and Tilbury Fort Watergate is in the right background. The Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847) is on shore in the left background. Negative numbers G1525 and G1566 were taken on the same occasion.
