Admiralty
This is where naval business is undertaken. The Admiralty began its life in Wallingford House in the early 17th century. This burned down in 1694, and was replaced by a building designed by Sir Christopher Wren. In 1722-26, this building was replaced, but many of the interior design features were transferred. Nelson's body lay in state at the Admiralty before his funeral.
