Waitangi (1874)
A whole plate negative. A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Waitangi (1874) at moorings in Gravesend Reach, River Thames. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and royals and has painted ports. The Coast Guard Watch Vessel CGWV 28 (1847) is drawn up on the Tilbury shore in the right background. The horizon is not level. Negatives numbers G2287 and G2294 were taken on the same occasion.
