Helsheborch
This is the oldest known picture of Helsingborg in Sweden. It is an illustration from "Civitates orbis terrarum" edited by George Braun and engraved by Franz Hogenberg, which contained over 300 cities in six volumes, published in Cologne 1572-1617. Braun was greatly assisted in his project by the close, and continued interest of Abraham Ortelius, author of the Theatrum Orbis Terrarum of 1570, the first true atlas. Each town plan was accompanied by Braun's printed account of the town's history, situation and commerce.
