Royal Observatory Greenwich. To the Revd Dr Maskelyne, This Plate is inscribed, by his obliged Servant, J Baker

An aquatint view from the north, showing the pavilions as domes rather than cupolas, as do a number of other views. Maskelyne was 5th Astronomer Royal, 1765-1811, and the dress of the couple in the lower left suggests this item dates to the early 19th century.
