An oval bust-length portrait of Alexander Hood (1726–1814) in flag officer’s full-dress uniform, 1787–95, with the star of the Order of the Bath. Lettered beneath the image with the title, ‘Admiral Lord Bridport, K.B.’ This print was published by Benjamin Crosby (of 4 Stationers Court, Ludgate Street, London) on 15 July 1795 as an illustration in ‘The Register of the Times and Literary Review’, volume 6, opposite page 57, alongside ‘Memoirs of Lord Bridport’ (pp. 57–8).
