A half plate negative. A distant port side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of an unidentified 3 masted barque under sail passing Totland Bay, Isle of Wight, heading into the Solent from the Needles Channel. She is rigged with double topsails, single topgallants and a main royal. Her main course is furled. She has painted ports and is flying her international code which is possibly J.C.V.B.
