A close port bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the general cargo ship Empire Stour (1930) dried out in dry dock at St John's, Newfoundland. Only the port side of the ship and part of her superstructure are in the picture. The dry dock was built of wood in 1883-1884 and was reconstructed in steel and concrete in 1925-1926. Vertical format.
