A three quarter length study of an unidentified officer feeding seagulls from on board the general cargo heavy lift ship Empire Elaine (1942). He is in tropical uniform of short sleeved shirt and shorts. He has shoulder straps with a stripe either side of a circle. The seagulls are in flight. The significance of the numbers (12)9' and 305' on the bulkhead are not known. Vertical format.
