The herring fleet gathered in the inner harbour, taken looking east-by-north from the West Pier with Castle Hill in the left background. On the extreme right is the Lowestoft ketch Peaceful (1899) LT.99. Other vessels include Dora Ann WY.60, SH.269, White Heather SH.312 and SH.310.
