An oval bust-length portrait of George Rooke (c. 1650–1709) in a long wig. Lettered beneath the image with the title, ‘Sr. George Rooke’, and also with the production details, ‘I. Simon fec. / E. Cooper ex.’ This early eighteenth-century print was engraved by Jean Simon and published by Edward Cooper. The portrait is based on a painting by Michael Dahl.
