A quarter plate negative. A copy of an unsigned and undated painting of the 3 masted ship rigged vessel Francis Thorpe (1868) under shortened sail at sea. She is seen from just ahead of her port beam and hand-written on the bottom of the painting is the inscription 'Ship "Francis Thorpe" off Cape Leeuwin with horses'.
