A 3½x4¾ glass plate negative. The Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) under construction in the East Yard of John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. A very close detail of part of the main turbine stage 2 bottom half diaphragm showing hairline cracks in the casting, presumably taken in the engine erecting shop. Negatives numbers N66154 to N66157 all show cracks in turbine castings.
