Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the bosun's store, lamp and paint room on 2 deck between 2½ and 6 stations. The photographer is looking aft and slightly to port from the centre of the compartment showing steel storage racks, large coils of rope of various sizes and a 40 gallon drum of Shell Chemical Co Ltd ethylene glycol inhibited on the left. A chain pipe is in the right foreground. On the right is a work bench with a small Woden vice. The wire mesh door and the watertight door between the bosun's store and the diesel generator room are open.
