Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the combined radar office on the port side of 2 deck between 36¼ and 41 stations. The photographer is looking aft showing, on the left, a visual display unit with a telephone above it, a combined fuse and distribution panel, the entrance door, an emergency lamp and fire extinguisher, a transmitter and a modulator. On the right is an interrogator unit, a follower unit, a visual display unit and a receiving unit. In the centre are operators' chairs, a control unit and a bearing resolver. In a wooden cabinet on the deckhead are a w/guide extension piece for receiver test and 2 w/guide spanners.
