Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion

A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the engineer's and electrical office on the port side of 2 deck between 47 and 49 stations. The photographer is looking to port along the forward bulkhead showing a desk, chair and long bench with glazed screens on the forward bulkhead and cupboards above. Chalked behind one of the glazed screens is 'incident board for damage control'. A safe is on the end of the bench. A desk, chair, key cabinet and four drawer filing cabinet are on the side of the ship.
