Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion

A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the preparing space on the starboard side of 2 deck between 41 and 46¼ stations. The photographer is looking forward from the centre of the space. On the left is a washbasin with a wooden towel rail above it. Beyond is a stainless steel bench incorporating two covered sink bowls. The clipped hatch above the bench leads into the funnel uptake. On the forward bulkhead is a workbench with a shelf and two drawers under and two shelves above. On the right is a first aid box, an emergency lamp and a control panel. A wooden stool is by a bench.
