Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the preparing space on the starboard side of 2 deck between 41 and 46¼ stations. The photographer is looking aft from the forward end. On the left is an electric range and on the end of the range is a control panel, an emergency lamp and, partly hidden, a first aid box. Beyond is a bench with two cereal bins below and to its right is an Hobart mixing and mincing machine. On the right is a bench with shelves under and the clipped hatch above the bench leads into the funnel uptake. Beyond this bench is a washbasin and in the corner is a small bench with a drawer and cupboard under. A wooden stool is by the bench in the foreground.
