Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the P.Os mess on the port side of 2 deck between 49 and 55¾ stations. The photographer is looking aft and to port showing the fireplace and two pairs of settee bunks. There are no soft furnishings, tables or chairs. The wooden base for a clock has been fitted above the fireplace but the clock has not yet been supplied. A shipyard painter has mistakenly painted 52½ on the aft bulkhead instead of 55¾.
