Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion

A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the CPOs mess on the starboard side of 2 deck between 56½ and 61½ stations. The photographer is looking forward and to starboard showing kit lockers on the left with a noticeboard and a litter bin fixed to the side of the lockers. A fireplace is on the forward bulkhead and in the starboard forward corner is an overcase locker above a cleaning gear locker. A bookcase and letter rack are on the ship's side. In the right foreground is a settee bunk with the bunk in the sleeping position. An open scuttle is above the bunk. A folding table is by the settee.
