Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the main passage on 2 deck at station 20 looking to port and aft. On the side of the gunbay is a transformer and above it is a breathing apparatus locker with cable wrapped round it. An emergency connection box, a telephone and a fire hose are also on the gunbay. On the right are a power panel, fuse panel, cable stowage, the sliding door to the senior ratings pantry, a drinking water cooler and dirty clothes lockers. The watertight door at 23 station is open and an escape scuttle from 3 deck is in the middle of the passage.
