Yarmouth (1959) on board views on completion
A half plate sheet film negative. On board the Type 12 frigate Yarmouth (1959) alongside the south-east corner of the fitting out basin in John Brown & Co Ltd's shipyard at Clydebank. In the conversion machinery and radar power room on the starboard side of 3 deck between 31 and 35½ stations. The photographer is looking forward and to port showing a motor generator on the right with a director metadyne next to it. A telephone and emergency lamp are mounted on a pillar in the centre and tandem machines No. 1 and No. 2 are beyond the pillar. On the forward bulkhead are excitation units, a fuse panel, capacity unit, transformers and a rectifier. On the port bulkhead are fuse panels, power panels and a voltage regulator. There are two cable stowage racks.
