Rhyl (1959). In the P.Os mess on 2 deck.
A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the P.Os mess on the starboard side of 2 deck between 16 and 21½ stations. The photographer is looking aft and to port showing a new dresser unit, still covered in polythene, against the aft bulkhead with a greatcoat cupboard beyond it. An easy chair is in the right foreground with a radiator and an automatic emergency lantern on the inboard bulkhead. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
