A 35mm roll film negative. On board the Rothesay class type 12 frigate Rhyl (1959) in Devonport Dockyard. In the passageway on 2 deck between stations 16 and 20½ looking aft to the gun mounting bulkhead at 20½ station. Two watertight hatches leading down to 3 deck are on the left and a tannoy is above them. On the right between fuse and control panels is the door labelled as the senior rates W.Cs but on the Admiralty plan 2503463/1 of 2 dated May 1972 which accompanied these negatives it is shown as the kit locker compartment. The photograph was taken prior to 9 May 1972.
