Hermes (1953) in Plymouth Sound

A 35mm roll film negative. A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the commando carrier Hermes (1953) at anchor in Plymouth Sound in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. Her pendant number is R12. A Westland Wessex HU.5 helicopter coded E is on her forward flight deck.
