On board the commando carrier Hermes (1953) in the north yard of Devonport Dockyard in June 1973 towards the end of her conversion from a fixed wing aircraft carrier to a commando carrier. She recommissioned after conversion on 18 August 1973. The photographer is in an unidentified junior rates or other ranks mess on the forward end of 4 or 5 deck. He is looking into a corner with a triple tier bunk unit rigged for sitting with two tables and two chairs in front of it and a mirror on the bulkhead. A colour negative. Negatives numbers PM3151/24ACN and PM3151/25ACN are very similar.
