A starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Cunard Line cruise ship Carinthia (1925) berthed alongside a breakwater in an unknown location. She has mooring lines out fore and aft and her starboard anchor is down. An accommodation ladder is rigged at a starboard side shell door amidships and there is a number of local bumboats alongside the ship with traders trying to sell their wares to the ship's passengers and crew. The ship has a black hull and white upperworks and from 1932 she received an all-white livery. The breakwater may be at Las Palmas on Grand Canary or Santa Cruz on Teneriffe.
