On board the Type 12 frigate Lowestoft (1960) while alongside the fitting out berth of Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd at Linthouse, Glasgow. The photographer is looking forward from the starboard side at 35 station on 01 deck showing the starboard bridge wing. The bulkhead for the air lookout position is on the left. A tannoy is mounted on the end of the bridge wing screen and forward on the screen are an azimuth repeater and a T.A.S. sight. In the background is the hull of the New Zealand Shipping Company cargo liner Piako (1962) which was launched by Alexander Stephen & Sons Ltd (Yard No. 676) on 10 October 1961. A vertical format negative.
