On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the torpedo stowage compartment between 51¾ and 54¼ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking aft and to port showing racks for Mark 44 torpedoes on the right with depth charge stretchers above them. Steadying lines are clipped to a rail. A type A fuze locker for fitted torpedo pistols has a type B fuze locker for fitted torpedo pistols above it. The door to the torpedo maintenance compartment is on the left.
