On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the junior rates dining hall looking aft into the servery between 54½ and 56½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck. A cold water drinking fountain is on the left with a serving worktop beyond it. Holding brackets for three urns are in place but the tea and soup urns have not yet been fitted. Two four-slice toasters are at high level. On the right is a refrigerated counter with a display shelf unit in the corner.
