On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the senior rates' sleeping annexe between 62½ and 68 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking forward showing three double tier settee bunk units, each with suitcase stowage under, an air conditioning unit, kit lockers and a greatcoat locker. This space was formerly the Number 2 Limbo mortar projectile room and is shown on Admiralty plan 000898918 sheet 3 (NMM Plan NPD1630) as the watchkeeper's mess.
