The Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958). In the senior rates' mess between 61½ and 67 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck.

On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the senior rates' mess between 61½ and 67 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft from the port side near the doorway showing a settee against the port side and aft bulkheads. A Teacher's whisky box is on the aft settee and an air conditioning unit is against the aft bulkhead. A table and three chairs are in the centre of the mess and a teapot, jug, sugar bowl, two ashtrays and cigarettes are on the table. In the starboard aft corner is a small bar with a Whitbread Tankard beer pump and a small artificial christmas tree on it. Christmas paper chain decorations are under the deckhead and christmas cards are along the top of the settees. A travelling clock on the air conditioning unit reads 11.10.
