On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the torpedo stowage compartment between 51¾ and 54¼ stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to port from 54 station showing torpedo stowage cradles against the port bulkhead. Against the forward bulkhead are fittings for stowing landing stocks, a unit stop, adaptors for No. 2 type trolley, extension rails, portable rails and depth charge connecting band securing rods.
