        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the mortar handing room between 67¼ and 71 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to port from 70 station showing a junction box, the depth setting control panel terminals and fuses,  the contact heater transformer, the charging and distrubution panel and a chamber rod and brush stowage unit.  On the right are a storage chest for propellant charges and a stowage box for spare jack-in units for the depth setting control panel.  In the left foreground is the pump starter panel.
