        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the engineer's office between 47 and 49 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard showing a desk with a sliding door cupboard under it.  A Thermos flask, a bicycle pump, a senior rate's cap, ledgers, papers, a stapler, some keys and a box of job cards are on the desk.  A work planning sheet, an open combination safe and a ledger rack are against the forward bulkhead.  Light switches, a pressure gauge and an automatic emergency lantern are next to the door.
