        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the engineer's office between 47 and 49 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to port showing a desk with drawers under it against the ship's side.  A junior rate's cap, ledgers, papers, a master log, a box of job cards and a six month calendar are on the desk.  Above the desk are a ledger rack and a cupboard and to the side is a four drawer filing cabinet with an Olivetti Linea 88 typewriter on top of it.  A Type IV 12-way telephone control box, a microphone, two armament broadcast loudspeakers, a main armament broadcast push button, a junction box, an electric fire, an inclinometer and a telephone are against the starboard bulkhead.
