        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the diesel generator compartment between 6 and 11½ stations on 2 deck looking to port from the centreline at 11 station showing the two switch panels on the aft bulkhead, two air receivers in tandem and a Brush motor on the aft end of the port Paxman diesel generator.  A first aid cabinet is against the port side of the ship.  Jerry cans of diesel oil are on deck in the right foreground.
