        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 23 and 30⅔ stations on 2 deck looking forward from 30 station showing the gun bay with a gas cylinder and a telephone against it.  An international breathing apparatus mk. 2 cabinet, the door to the A/S stabilizer and plane converter compartment, a cable stowage bracket and a locker are on the right.  On the left are the sliding door to the communications control room transmitting section (CCR(TX), an open watertight hatch and a motor generator with a cupboard above.
