        On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971.  The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 41 and 49 stations on 2 deck looking forward and to port from 45 station showing a 25 gallon steam kettle on the extreme right with a fire hose basket and a fire main ahead of it.  Against the screen on the left are a fan starter panel and two fuse panels. The scullery door and hatch and the door to the officers' galley are open and a loudspeaker and an emergency connection and changeover switch box are on the port side.  The watertight door at 41 station is open.  A vertical format negative.
