Achromatic telescope
This is a brass double achromatic telescope, with a missing tripod stand. The telescope has a fitted mahogany box which contains in addition to the telescope tube a counterpoise clamp, object glass cap, small refracting sighting telescope (mounted on the eye end of the barrel), six eyepiece shades (two with caps), a terrestrial eyepiece, fittings for supporting the telescope. The telescope has an object glass diameter of 95mm and a focal length of 60 inches.
The mahogany box has an overall length of 1677mm and has brass handles.
